On February 11, the Church celebrates Our Lady of Lourdes, one of the most beloved Marian apparitions in the world.
Everything began in 1858 in Lourdes, a small town at the foot of the Pyrenees in France, when fourteen-year-old Bernadette Soubirous reported seeing a “Lady dressed in white” in the grotto of Massabielle.
There were eighteen apparitions in total. During one of these encounters, the Virgin Mary asked Bernadette to dig in the ground: from that simple gesture, a spring of water emerged, which to this day remains a place of pilgrimage and a sign of physical and spiritual healing. In another apparition, the Virgin revealed herself saying, “I am the Immaculate Conception,” confirming the dogma proclaimed just a few years earlier.

Lourdes is not only a place of miracles, but above all a sanctuary of hope, consolation, and trust in Mary. Each year, millions of pilgrims visit the Grotto to pray, entrust their sufferings, and rediscover inner peace. Here, faith becomes simple, tangible, and deeply lived.
The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, located in southwestern France, is today one of the most important Marian pilgrimage sites in the world, a place where hearts open to trust and prayer.
On this special day, let us be inspired by the message of Lourdes and rediscover the beauty of the Rosary, a prayer dear to the Virgin Mary and a faithful companion on our daily journey of faith.

You can find our Rosaries at the official Sanctuary store, Librairie de la Grotte.
We hope our Rosary will accompany you in an authentic and meaningful prayer experience!
